The U.S. Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. Begun in 1793, the U.S. Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government. Enjoy a guided tour of the Capitol Visitor Center, Exhibition Hall, Crypt, Rotunda and the National Statuary Hall. This tour does not include the Senate and House Galleries. Located on the National Mall, The National Gallery of Art has a collection of more than 150,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and drawings. We will start our day with a guided tour of the West Building and there will be time on your own after to explore the rest of the property, including the East Building and Sculpture Garden. With an archeological record going back millennia and hundreds of years of written history, the story of Harpers Ferry is diverse, complex, and continually being reframed. Join us as we take a guided tour of the area, visiting the historical sites and learning about the people who had an impact on this area. There will be time on your own after our guided tour to explore the town or take a hike on one of the many trails. Join us on a guided tour of Cambridge, Maryland, where Araminta Ross lived and worked until age 27 when she escaped to freedom. We begin our day learning about her early years, visiting her childhood home and the Bucktown General Store, as well as the Courthouse and Long Wharf. There will be time for photos in front of the Take My Hand mural before visiting the Stanley Institute and The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center. We finish our day with an all you can eat crab feast. Fees include round-trip transportation aboard a motor coach, a guided 4 ½ hour tour, admission tickets and lunch.

Want to see the only home Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower ever owned? Come tour their former property! This site preserves the farm of General and 34th President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Adjacent to the Gettysburg battlefield, the farm served as a weekend retreat and meeting place for world leaders. Tour the home and grounds before returning to the Gettysburg Visitor Center. There will be time for lunch on your own inside the Visitor Center or a visit to the gift shop. Fees include round-trip transportation aboard a motor coach and Eisenhower National Historic Site Museum admission. All meals are on your own.

The Gettysburg Visitor Center is rich in resources and history about the Battle of Gettysburg and the Civil War. A trio of activities will fill your morning as you learn about the conflict from beginning to end as well as the terrible aftermath. Passengers will view the film A New Birth of Freedom, visit the Battle of Gettysburg Cyclorama painting, and explore the Gettysburg Museum of American Civil War. There will be time for lunch on your own inside the Visitor Center or a visit to the gift shop. Fees include round-trip transportation aboard a motor coach, film, cyclorama, and museum admission. This year’s all-new holiday show features your favorite seasonal and sacred Christmas songs brought to life by marvelous vocal talent from across the country, accompanied by the masterful AMT Orchestra. Difficulty:

Leisurely day. You can board a bus, climb one flight of stairs, walk unassisted at a relaxed pace for up to 60 minutes without difficulty.

Slightly challenging. Likely walking two to three miles over the course of the day, on a variety of terrains with rest breaks.

On the go. You can handle standing for long periods of time, are able to walk about four to five miles during the trip and are comfortable climbing into/out of various modes of transportation.
