Home to world-class museums and gardens, the Brandywine Valley offers breathtaking scenery and award-winning sights. We will be staying at Mendenhall Inn for two nights as we explore the du Pont properties and a local art museum. Day one includes admission to Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library and Hagley Museum & Library. Day two includes admission to Brandywine Museum of Art and Longwood Gardens. Join Chef Stu Woo Can on a trip to New Jersey for a guided Dim Sum tasting at Brother Seafood and end with a visit to a local Asian grocery store. Tea and tastings will be served, while the Chef Woo explains how dishes were prepared. The Asian grocery store includes traditional and Western fruit, veggies, dry goods and more. Francis Scott Key penned the Star-Spangled Banner, our national anthem, at Fort McHenry. During our tour you will view a short film on the Battle of Baltimore, watch Fort Rangers change the flag and explain the park's historical significance. Travelers will tour Star Fort, Seawall Trail, and park grounds on their own. Fee includes round-trip transportation aboard the Harford Community College bus and admission inside the Fort.

Henry Chapman Mercer’s former home, Fonthill Castle, includes 44 rooms, more than 6,000 books and 18 fireplaces! Six floors of history await you at the Mercer Museum, which features 40,000 artifacts on display from the Industrial Revolution. A tile maker at heart, Mercer also built the Tileworks next door to his home. Today, it is a "working museum" that produces handmade tiles and mosaics.
