Mental, emotional, and physical health all contribute to your academic success.

Harford Community College recognizes that and provides support, resources, programming, and facilities to address the general wellbeing of all students. We also partner with local community organizations to provide extended services where needed. Familiarize yourself with what we offer and feel free to reach out for help and questions.

FOOD PANTRY

No one should have to choose between going to college and having food on the table. That said, Harford Community College recognizes that food scarcity is a reality for many members of our community. We maintain a FREE food pantry on the first floor of the Student Center, accessible through the Student Life offices. It is open to the entire campus community—students and staff—and offers a wide range of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, healthy snacks and personal items that meet the needs of individuals and/or families. 

In need of emergency food assistance? 
The College stocks a limited number of Shop Rite grocery gift cards available to students who apply and present immediate need. Ask for details.

Needs warm clothes for the winter, or something nice for an interview? Harford Community College provides a FREE clothing closet on the first floor of the Student Center, , accessible through the Student Life offices.

It is open to the entire campus community—students and staff—and offers a wide range of items from casual wear to professional attire (suits, blazers, dresses), winter coats to accessories like ties, belts, and shoes. There is even space to try on clothing and see what works best for your needs.

WELLNESS PROGRAMMING

The College offers a variety of wellness programs and activities to help students balance college life with personal and professional stressors.  

Students may login to the Office of Students Life's Involve app for specific times and dates.

Facilities

Relaxation Room & LACTATION SPACE

HOURS: MON, THU, FRI 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Relaxation and meditation have been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting a sense of wellbeing, calmness and centeredness. Harford's relaxation room offers a private space for meditation, quiet contemplation, lactation, and respite for individuals or small groups. 

DXI Construction Fitness Center

HOURS: varies by semester

Located in the Susquehanna Center, the DXI Construction Fitness Center is a full service, state-of-the-art fitness center.

The Center offers individual exercise program instruction to both full- and part-time students with their Harford student ID. Program consults are scheduled by appointment. 

 

 

Engage inRecreational Sports

Go for a swim. Start a pick-up game of basketball. Work out in the Fitness Center. Play some tennis. Hike a trail. When you're a student at Harford, you have access to all kinds of physical outlets. Check them out. It's a great way to work off some steam, stay active, and clear your head.
