Harford’s Library has been named the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Library of the Year by the U.S. Government Publishing Office. The Library, one of 53 selective federal depositories in the region, is celebrating 57 years as an FDLP library of government information.
Harford received funding for cultural events to entertain and inspire individuals to engage, learn and grow. The grant will fund diverse professional touring companies of recognized artistic merit as well as community musical theater and dance performance organizations.

Harford was awarded a grant for $17,020 by the Maryland Higher Education Commission as part of a statewide initiative to address food insecurity on Maryland college campuses. The grant will help fund sustainable efforts to attend to basic food needs among students.
Donald Watson was named the first recipient of the Barry Glassman Public Service Scholarship. The award was established to benefit a Harford student entering their second year of study as a political science major who submits a winning essay on civility in government.

Hpone Myat was one of 210 Phi Theta Kappa members from across the country named a 2024 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The awards help new PTK members with educational expenses while completing their associate degrees.
