Harford Community College FoundationThe Harford Community College Foundation, Inc., assists Harford Community College and the advancement of public higher education by broadening the base of support and communication with private donors and public agencies. The Foundation sustains the College with financial and personal contributions through friend raising, advocacy, and fundraising efforts for educational programs developed by the College community and approved by the Board of Trustees.

Summer Swing Golf Tournament

The Summer Swing Golf Tournament is an annual fundraising event that supports student scholarships and educational programs at Harford Community College. By participating in the tournament, golfers and sponsors contribute directly to enhancing access to higher education for local students, helping to reduce financial barriers and promote academic success. The event also fosters community engagement, bringing together alumni, businesses, and supporters to invest in the future of Harford County through education.

Athena Leadership Award Breakfast

The Harford Community College Foundation's ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast is an annual event that celebrates and honors individuals and organizations demonstrating exceptional leadership, professional excellence, and a commitment to empowering women. The event recognizes recipients of the ATHENA Leadership Award, the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award, and the ATHENA Organizational Award, highlighting their significant contributions to the community and their efforts in fostering leadership among women.

Proceeds from the breakfast benefit the ATHENA Leadership Scholarship, which supports adult students returning to Harford Community College who exemplify professionalism, community commitment, and leadership potential . This scholarship plays a vital role in reducing financial barriers, enabling recipients to pursue their educational and professional goals.

Beyond fundraising, the ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast serves as a platform for community engagement, bringing together business leaders, educators, and supporters to celebrate and inspire leadership development within Harford County.

Screech's NightOwl 5K+Fun Walk

Ready, Set, GLOW! Screech's NightOwl 5K is an annual glow-in-the-dark evening event hosted by the Harford Community College Foundation to support athletic scholarships for student-athletes. Held each October on the Harford Community College campus, the event invites participants of all ages to run or walk a scenic course adorned with glow gear and neon attire.

The event fosters community engagement, promotes health and wellness, and provides an enjoyable experience for participants, all while supporting the educational and athletic aspirations of Harford Community College students.

President's Circle Dinner Reception

An annual event honoring donors who have contributed $1,000 or more during the previous fiscal year. This exclusive gathering expresses the College's gratitude and highlights the significant impact these contributions have on student success. Donors are recognized for their generosity, which supports scholarships, emergency assistance, and educational resources, thereby reducing financial barriers for students. The event also fosters a sense of community among donors, faculty, and students, emphasizing the collective effort in advancing educational opportunities in Harford County.

Gratitude Breakfast

The Harford Community College Foundation's Gratitude Breakfast is an annual event that celebrates the profound impact of scholarship support on students' lives. This inspirational morning brings together scholarship recipients and donors, providing a unique opportunity for students to express their appreciation and share personal stories of how financial assistance has helped them pursue their educational goals. The event not only honors the generosity of donors but also highlights the transformative power of community support in advancing education and fostering student success.

 

Your Charitable Contributions

Contributions benefit Harford Community College and are administered by the Harford Community College Foundation, Inc. Gifts to the Foundation qualify as charitable contributions to an IRS Section 501(c)(3) public charity for federal income, estate and gift tax purposes. Your contribution is deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. A copy of the Foundation’s current audited financial statement is available upon request at the Harford Community College Foundation, Inc., 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD 21015. Documents and information submitted to the State of Maryland under the Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act are available from the Office of the Secretary of State, State House, Annapolis, MD 21401 for the cost of copying and postage.
