The ATHENA International Leadership Awards® recognize exemplary leadership by an individual or organization for their excellence in their business or profession, service to the community in a meaningful way and, most importantly, actively assisting women to achieve their full leadership potential. Founded over 30 years ago, ATHENA International is a women’s leadership organization that supports, develops, and honors women leaders through the programs it administers. ATHENA’s flagship program, the ATHENA Leadership Award Program, has honored over 7,000 women leaders from hundreds of cities and eight countries since its inception in 1982. The program is facilitated locally by the Harford Community College Foundation, a licensed ATHENA host organization.

ATHENA LEADERSHIP AWARD®

The ATHENA Leadership Award® recognizes an individual who demonstrates professional and personal excellence, provides meaningful service to improve quality of life in the community, and actively supports women in achieving their full leadership potential. This award honors both achievement and the leadership legacy built by paving the way for others.

Finalists: Angela Rose, President & CEO, Harford County Chamber of Commerce, Linda Alouch, Founder & Executive Director, HopeWorks Global, Inc., Sandra Osborn, Sr. Vice President/Operations Officer, Harford Bank, Tracy Batman, Chief Operating Officer, Veritech, and Vicki Jones, Council Member, City of Havre de Grace, President, Harford County NAACP, Manager, HCPS.

ATHENA YOUNG PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD® 

The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award® honors emerging women leaders age 40 or younger who exemplify professional excellence, community service, and serve as role models for women and girls. These finalists represent the next generation of leaders shaping a stronger future.

Finalists: Alison Imhoff, Council Member of Harford County Council, Clinical Supervisor at Arrow Child and Family Ministries, Lauren Beward, Director of Business Development, Bravura Information Technology Systems, Inc., Megan Ewing, Founder, Think Big, Act Bold – Share the Vision, and Trenae Watson, CEO, TLW Consulting.

ATHENA ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD®

The ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award recognizes an organization or business that champions women leaders by fostering inclusive workplace cultures, supporting women’s advancement, and giving back through leadership development initiatives.
