    First-up Features

Orientation begins with not one, but multiple opportunities to get your semester going! RSVP and let us know which ones you'll attend (hopefully all of them) and keep an eye on your OwlMail for more details.

    #1: IronBirds Game

    Tuesday, JUNE 17  |  Arrive 6:30 PM  |  Game Starts 7:05 PM
Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium  |  RSVP
If you're an adult student returning to college, you may be a little intimidated. Don't worry, we've got you covered! Join Harford at this pre-orientation event that provides you with an opportunity to meet other adult students and mingle with faculty and staff. It's not only a great night out but it's also a nice way to ease your transition to college. Check in at the Harford registration table to receive a wrist band that entitles you and one guest to enter the club area where food and sodas are provided.

    #2: Fighting Owls Frenzy

    Wednesday, JULY 23  |  12–3 PM
Financial Aid & College Store Day  |  RSVP
Kick start the semester by knocking out all the small tasks at one time! Get your student ID, your books, purchase some swag, pay your bill, learn about some last-minute scholarship and financial aid opportunities . . . and did we mention we'll have giveaways and discounts to The College Store? Harford's team will be available to make sure you have everything you need for the semester. Note: Bring a government-issued photo ID to get your Harford ID.

    #4: Fighting Owls Take Flight

    Mandatory In-Person Reception
    Saturday, AUGUST 23  |  1–3 PM  |  RSVP
This inspirational and interactive reception provides a fun opportunity to mingle with faculty and staff, meet new friends, and familiarize yourself with everything Harford. This event is also mandatory to ensure that you have the best chance for success while you're here. This event is for traditional-age and adult students—and we've even got stuff for parents—a parent orientation will also take place at the same time. It's the perfect way to kick off the semester!

    • This event is mandatory for all new students. Readmits and transfers are also invited and welcome to attend.
    • If parents are attending, indicate them as guests on the RSVP form.

    Passport Program

    #5: First Semester Passport Program

Takes place during your first semester at Harford.
This program is designed to help students successfully navigate their journey at Harford while having some fun along the way! Engage in activities, attend events, and complete essential steps to ensure success—all leading up to a chance to win scholarships and prizes. Complete the 'passport' form each time you complete a stop during the semester. The more stops you complete, the more chances you have to win gift cards, or if you're lucky, the grand prize—a $500 scholarship!
