Child Care Apprenticeship
Application is now open.
Earn while you learn in Harford Community College's online child care apprenticeship program.
Open to all Maryland residents, this 18-month online program is designed to be completed while working full-time in licensed Maryland child care facility. Those who are accepted into the apprenticeship but not currently working are matched to a participating employer for hiring.
Participants start as an aide and work under a mentor who provides on-the-job training. Raises are built into the schedule and apprentices complete classes in a child development, early childhood education, and child health and safety.
