Spend the day exploring the grounds and home of Thomas Jefferson. Two guided tours are included at this UNECSO World Heritage Site. The seasonal Gardens & Grounds Tour explores Monticello’s restored gardens and discusses Jefferson’s lifelong interest in botany as well as the enslaved gardeners who maintained the landscape. The Slavery at Monticello Tour focuses on the experiences of the enslaved people who lived and labored at Mulberry Row, the industrial hub and “Main Street” of the 5,000-acre plantation.
