Registration is now open for fall enrollment at Harford Community College’s Early Learning Center (ELC), offering full-day and half-day preschool programs for children ages 2–5. At the ELC, our youngest Owls engage in meaningful learning experiences that support their social, physical, and academic development.
The Board of Trustees of Harford Community College will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 12, beginning at 6 PM. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format; employees and community members may join the meeting in person in the Chesapeake Welcome Center, Room 197 or watch the meeting via the Internet.

A combined completion ceremony for the spring 2026 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, Dental Assistant program, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program completers was held on April 30 in the Chesapeake Welcome Center on the Harford Community College campus.
Harford Dance Theatre will present Alice in Wonderland on May 15-17 in the Chesapeake Theater located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center at Harford Community College.
Harford’s Music Department will host four concerts in May. Harford alumni return for an Evening of Jazz on May 1 and pianist Hexing Xiao and fellow Harford faculty musicians perform on May 3. Vocal and instrumental student recitals and the vocal pop and jazz ensembles will perform later in May.
Harford welcomed seven veterans into the SALUTE National Honor Society on Wednesday, April 22, recognizing their achievements in a ceremony in the College’s Student Center. To qualify, the veteran must be an undergraduate student who has earned a minimum 3.00 GPA and completed 12 credit hours.
Eight Estonian vocational education professionals visited the College last week to tour the campus, explore our learning spaces, and learn more about how our IT, STEM, Workforce, and Nursing & Allied Health programs partner with industry to support student success and meet workforce needs.
The 2026 Annual Juried Art + Design Student Exhibition will take place May 6-29 in the Dr. James & Lynne LaCalle Chesapeake Gallery located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center. All are invited to the Opening Reception in the Chesapeake Gallery on Thursday, May 7 from 5 to 6:30 PM. A juror’s talk and the award announcements begin at 5:30 PM. The Salon de Refuses, featuring work not accepted into the juried exhibition, will immediately follow in Joppa Hall from 6:45 to 8:45 PM.
Harford joined colleges nationwide in April in celebrating Community College Month. The campaign, led by the Association of Community College Trustees, highlights the essential role community and technical colleges play in powering America’s workforce and expanding economic opportunity.
