Medication Administration

If you're a childcare professional, this course was designed for you and your profession.

This state-approved training is for individuals seeking to acquire a Child Care Center License or a Family Child Care Registration in Maryland, or working in a licensed or regulated child care or family daycare center. 

The curriculum is provided by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care.

REQUIREMENTS 
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED®, and be a licensed childcare provider

  • Common forms of medication
  • Care and storage of medication 
  • Requirements to administer medications 
  • How to prevent medication errors 

This six-hour training is conducted in a classroom setting with theory and skills practice. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
