Manufacturing & Production

Those in this field are trained to turn raw materials into a wide variety of useful products and components. They work with their hands as well as with computers and are on the cutting-edge as processes evolve.
Manufacturing and Production students learn basic machining skills as well as those required in to work in modern production environments using Industry 4.0 controls, automation and processes. Course topics include safety, process specific machining equipment, measurement devices, set-up and layout instruments, and common shop practices. Completers may apply for employment in manufacturing and production facilities that produce and distribute a wide range of products from foods to electronics.

IA 1236 Industry Associate 4.0 Silver*
IA 1251 Industry Associate Exam
IA 1173 Basic Machining Applications
* Students must register for both Industry Associate 4.0 Silver and Industry Associate Exam.
