Insurance Pre-Licensing

Unlock Your Future: Master the art of working in the Insurance field with our comprehensive Pre-Licensing courses!

The Insurance Pre-Licensing program trains students to be well-versed and knowledgeable in the insurance field. Students gain theory and practical experience in the areas of consultancy, customer service, front-line underwriting, quotations, claims, and agency management systems, which transfer to high growth career and entrepreneurial opportunities. The courses follow a remote learning model delivered by the Enterprise Training School. Textbooks are included in the cost of the course(s) and 60 days of access to study materials and an Online Exam Simulator are available after completion of the coursework.

Coursework prepares students to sit for Maryland state licensing exams in Property and Casualty and/or Life, Accident and Health specializations.

REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma is preferred, but not required. Students must be at least 18 years of age and read English at a basic level. Must be able to pass a background check.

ACCREDITATION: Enterprise Training School, Inc.

COURSES REQUIRED TO COMPLETE PROGRAM:
IS 1117 - Insurance Pre-Licensing Exam Preparation Property and Casualty
AND/OR*
IS 1118 - Insurance Pre-Licensing Exam Preparation Life, Accident and Health

* Taking both courses is not required. Students may choose to take both courses or focus on one specialization.

TIME NEEDED TO COMPLETE PROGRAM:
Property and Casualty:
20 hours coursework with 60 days of access to online study materials

Life, Accident and Health:
15 hours coursework with 60 days of access to online study materials

CREDENTIAL(S) OFFERED:
Maryland state license in Property and Casualty Insurance
Maryland state license in Life, Accident and Health Insurance

What's Next?

Upon successful completion of one or both of these courses, students may apply for employment in Claims & Policy Processing, Customer Service, Insurance Sales, and Personal Finance Advising.
