You're an out of the box thinker, problem-solver, and you've dreamed about a career in a creative industry. The art + design field is limitless, exciting, and expansive.

At Harford Community College, we offer a variety of art + design programs that prepare you for transfer to a four-year institution to complete your bachelor’s degree. Students take core art + design courses with the remainder in their concentration. Does time-based media, animation, motion graphics, game design, special effects and multimedia seem like fascinating career options to you? Digital arts is for you. If you dream of being a fine artist, illustrator, or art educator— love art and want to strengthen your artistic voice—a concentration in fine art may be your choice. Want a challenging profession where you’ll create visual forms and concepts for clients that establish brand identity, communication and marketing strategy for both print and web? Choose graphic design. Is photography your thing? We have a certificate and degree programs for this.
