Welcome to the future Chesapeake Welcome Center!
Prospective students, parents, and visitors from the community and beyond will soon have a central location from which to begin their Harford experience.
The new Chesapeake Welcome Center is designed to serve as the front door to the Harford Experience. When completed, it will house Admissions, Workforce and Continuing Education, Financial Aid, Registration, Advising, and the Cashier; provide convenient parking; and become a central entrance point for prospective students, campus tours, testing, enrollment events, and registration—a truly inviting space for Future Fighting Owls!
For the greater Harford County community, the Chesapeake Welcome Center will be a place to gather for conference, meetings, art openings, and performances. Visitors will be welcomed into a vibrant campus space that reflects the future of the College and the County.

2025 Progress
March: Things are moving fast with our Chesapeake Welcome Center renovations! Here’s what’s new: The new theatre seating area is almost completely poured and first floor offices are getting their final touches. Second floor offices are framed out with mechanical and electrical work in progress. The roof is complete, and windows are going in soon. We’re one step closer to welcoming you into this incredible new space! Stay tuned for more updates.
February
January: The Chesapeake Welcome Center is nearing the finish line! Dining Services is now fully operational in their new state-of-the-art kitchen, the Chesapeake Theater is nearly complete with a new roof and catwalk, walls are going up in the first floor offices, and demo of the old building is wrapping up. Every step brings us closer to a space that will welcome, inspire, and support our students and community. We’re almost there!
2023–2024 Progress
December
November: The kitchen is wrapping up with final finishes, new equipment and epoxy flooring. The loading dock is nearly complete with concrete and asphalt paving. New roof is installed over the theater and walls are going up in the main office area.
