Harford Dance Theatre to Hold Auditions for The Nutcracker

Harford Dance Theatre is holding auditions for The Nutcracker on Saturday, August 15 in the Susquehanna Dance Studio located on the Harford Community College campus. Use Entrance 2 to find parking for the Susquehanna Center.

All roles are open.  All dancers should be currently enrolled in ballet classes. The audition schedule is listed below.

Dancers Ages 6-8 with a Minimum of 1 Year Dance Training

Registration: 10 AM

Audition: 10:30–11:30 AM

Wear a leotard, tights, solid color skirt/shorts, and ballet shoes.

Dancers Ages 9-11 with a Minimum of 1 Year Dance Training

Registration: 11 AM

Audition: 11:30–1 PM

Wear a leotard, tights, solid color skirt/shorts, and ballet shoes. If you are interested in auditioning for a tap piece, bring your tap shoes.

Dancers Ages 12+ with a Minimum of 3 Years Dance Training

Registration: 12:30 PM Audition/Class: 1–2:30 PM

Wear a leotard, tights, solid color skirt/shorts, and ballet/pointe shoes. If you are interested in auditioning for a tap piece, bring your tap shoes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some dancers may be asked to stay for an additional audition time.  

Rehearsals are on Saturdays. Bring a list of known conflicts. PLEASE NOTE: You must be available Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29, and each evening the week of November 30–December 3 for tech rehearsals.

Performances, which will be directed by Mckenzie Horseman, will be held December 4-6.
