Parking Lot W (near Wawa) on Harford Community College’s campus.
du Pont Estates
Brandywine, PA
FRI, MAY 15, 8 AM–6 PM
In 1801, French immigrant E. I. du Pont purchased a plot of land along the Brandywine
and established a gunpowder mill on the site. Eventually E.I. du Pont de Nemours and
Co. was the leading supplier of gunpowder to the U.S. Government. Tour the Hagley
black powder yard, the family home and gardens, and learn about the inventions and
patents held by this innovator. His descendants have been one of the richest and most
prominent American families since the 19th century, with generations of influential
businessmen, politicians and philanthropists. After lunch, we’ll visit the property
of Alfred I. du Pont, grandson of E. I. His property, Nemours Estate, has stunning
grounds, gardens and a 77-room mansion to tour on your own. Fee includes round-trip
transportation on a motor coach, guided tours, admission to both locations, and a
boxed lunch.
Dim Sum Road Trip

Are you looking to explore new and interesting cuisines as a foodie? Dim Sum is considered
an Asian Brunch seven days a week! There are many varieties of dumplings: steamed,
braised, or deep fried, all served in a bamboo mini steamer. Join Chef Woo Can on
a guided Dim Sum tasting at a local restaurant and end with a visit to a local Asian
grocery store. Tea and tastings will be served, while Chef Woo explains how dishes
were prepared. The Asian grocery store includes traditional and Western fruit, veggies,
dry goods and more. Transportation via Harford Community College bus and lunch are
included in the fee.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
New York City, NY

When the Brooklyn Botanic Garden was founded more than a century ago, NYC was quickly
being developed into a cityscape of buildings and paved roads. Creating a public garden
was one way to ensure that some green space remained. Today, the Garden has come to
represent the very best in urban gardening and horticultural display. Enjoy time exploring
at your own pace through bonsai museums, conservatories, outdoor gardens, and aquatic
terraces. Fee includes round-trip transportation on a motor coach and admission to
the garden. All meals are on your own.
A Day in Cape May
Cape May, NJ
SAT, JUN 6, 6:15 AM–10:15 PM
Celebrate summer with a day trip to the seaside! All aboard for a fully narrated history
and nature cruise by experienced licensed captains and naturalists. See animals, local
points of interest and overall maritime history of the area. Brunch will be served
onboard. After returning to land, you’ll have some free time at Sunset Beach. Then,
learn about coastal defense by climbing to the top of the WWII Lookout Tower and 1859
Cape May Lighthouse. End your day with two hours of free time shopping at the Washington
Street Mall. Fee includes round-trip transportation on a motor coach, a ticket to
the boat cruise, brunch, and admission to climb the lighthouse and tower.
Philadelphia Zoo

As America's first zoo, Philadelphia Zoo has 160+ years of experience in conserving
wildlife, caring for animals, and educating our communities. Home to more than 1,900
rare and endangered animals, the Zoo encompasses 42 acres you’ll be able to explore
at your leisure. Fee includes round-trip transportation on a motor coach bus and admission
to the zoo. All meals are on your own.
