Harford Community College to Hold Early Learning Center Open House
19 March 2026
Harford Community College’s Early Learning Center (ELC) will hold an Open House on March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents who are interested in half-day or full-day preschool options this coming fall for their children ages 2-5 are invited to visit the ELC located in the Forest Hill Center on Harford’s campus at 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD (use Entrance #4).
At Harford’s Early Learning Center, our littlest Owls explore learning through activities that support social, physical, and academic development. Parents and prospective students are invited to meet the teachers, tour the classrooms, make new friends, and learn more about enrolling for fall preschool.
Harford’s Early Learning Center is licensed and accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). As an MSDE-accredited preschool, the program meets rigorous state standards for early childhood education, ensuring high-quality instruction, continuous program improvement, and a commitment to excellence.
The ELC provides a safe, nurturing environment paired with a strong academic curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Our experienced staff encourages children of all abilities to grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually while developing confidence and a positive self-image. The curriculum incorporates interactive smart boards in each classroom, along with engaging instruction in language arts, math, science, art, crafts, dramatic play, and story time.
At the Early Learning Center, curiosity is encouraged, friendships are formed, and children build the skills they need for future academic success.
