Harford’s “Fighting Owls” CyberClub Team Places Third in Cyber Electromagnetic Activity Conference Competition

On October 27, 2025, four students from Harford Community College’s CyberClub competed in the 2025 Cyber Electromagnetic Activity Conference (CEMA) “Capture the Flag” event at the Converge Center in Aberdeen, MD.
Harford students Jaden Burton (‘27), Dominic Jones (‘26), Gary Kipp (‘26), and Ryden Meadows (‘26) participated as the Fighting Owls team in a “Jeopardy”-style event where they navigated remote computer systems using methods including Binary Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, Web Exploitation, Cryptography, Forensics, and Security to locate a specific file.
Harford Community College’s students did an awesome job as a first-time team and finished in 3rd place in the Academia Category against some extremely stiff competition. Congratulations to the Fighting Owls!
