Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society at Harford Community College Inducts New Members

Harford Community College’s Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society, Gamma Upsilon Chapter, inducted 20 new members in a ceremony on December 2 in Edgewood Hall.

The mission of the chapter is to promote associate degree nursing through leadership, collaboration, advocacy, and education to ensure excellence in the future of health care and professional nursing practice. To qualify for membership, graduates must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00, earn a B or better in each nursing course, and demonstrate conduct on the College campus and in the clinical setting that reflects integrity and professionalism.

The ceremony opened with a greeting from Assistant Professor Mary Kate Wiegand, MSN, RN, CNE, CCRN, who provided an overview of the chapter. Dr. Ashley Meisel, Dean, Nursing and Allied Health Professions, and Dr. Diane Ryan, Vice President of Academic Affairs, gave congratulatory remarks. Associate Professor Jessica Powers, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, CNE, read the names of the inductees. Assistant Professor Deanna Garza, MSN, RN, CNS, and Nursing Student Success and Retention Specialist Sarah Holler, MSN, MS, RN, CCRN presented the pins and cords to the new members. Graduates wear an apricot cord during Commencement.

New Alpha Delta Nu members for fall 2025 include Dhan Acharya, Ashley Akanno, Lynnmor Cameron, Brandon DeJohn, Raquel Fontanez, Corinne Fuller, Maria Gutierrez, Madelyn Harner, Sukhpreet Kaur, Courtney Lebrun, Madison Lobianco, Molly Mullaney, Megan Murgia, Caroline Njeri, Goodness Nnebedum, Karla Rivas Martinez, Nina Shunnarah, Jennifer Tetteh, Madeline Vogel, and Annum Zia.
