Harford Community College’s Learning Center Recertified by the International College Learning Center Association

The Harford Community College Learning Center was recently recertified by the International College Learning Center Association (ICLCA) for 2025-2027.

The Harford Community College Learning Center was scored on criteria topics that included program and services; organizational framework; academic integrity and learning environment; funding, resources and design; staff and professional development; promotion and public relations; and assessment and evaluation.

Harford’s Learning Center, led by Manager Patrick Pyott, offers a variety of services to support students in achieving their academic goals. The Learning Center offers a student-friendly work environment where students may work on their own, in groups, or with a tutor. The specific strengths of this learning center are an interactive learning environment, opportunities to collaborate with a tutor in person or virtually, and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

ICLCA’s Learning Center Certification promotes professional standards for learning centers, encourages centers to develop, maintain and assess quality programs and services to enhance student learning, and celebrates the outstanding achievements of centers like Harford Community College’s Learning Center that meet the standards.
