Harford Community College to Hold Engineering Networking Event

30 October 2025

Join Harford Community College on Wednesday, November 12, from 5 to 8 PM in Aberdeen Hall, Rooms 255 and 256, for a networking event designed for high school and college students interested in an engineering career. Participants will have the opportunity to network and discuss careers with working engineers from the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Use Entrance 3 off Thomas Run Road. Parking is available in Lot A.

Engineers apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Their work is the link between social needs and commercial applications. In addition to design and development, many engineers work in testing, production, or maintenance. Highly sought out by employers and always in demand, engineers solve problems that are important to society and beyond.

Harford offers an Associate of Science degree in Engineering. With this degree, students can prepare for transfer to a four-year institution to complete their bachelor's degree or enter the workforce as a technician working alongside engineers in the manufacturing sector. Information about Harford’s Engineering Program is available here.

The College also offers programs in Engineering Technology that prepare students for immediate transition into an entry-level position in the engineering technology field. Additional information is available on the Engineering Technology Program page.

For additional information about the engineering networking event, contact Associate Professor Bill Stephens at wstephens@harford.edu.
