Harford Community College Presents an Evening of Jazz: Eugenie Jones

Harford Community College presents an Evening of Jazz with Eugenie Jones on Friday, September 19, at 8 PM in Joppa Hall, Recital Hall.

The 2025-26 Evening of Jazz series kicks off with vocalist, songwriter and producer Eugenie Jones. She has performed in many venues across the country, including the Jazz Forum in New York, Harlem Late Night Jazz in New York City, Twins Jazz Club in Washington, DC, the Scat Jazz Lounge in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and the Atlanta, San Jose, and Portland Jazz Festivals. Based now in Seattle, she has performed at venues in the Pacific Northwest such as the Seattle Arts Museum, the Royal Room, and the Earshot Jazz Festival.

NEA Jazz Master and bassist Reggie Workman described Jones as "an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and a source of light we're fortunate to experience." New York jazz writer Thomas Staudter praised Jones for her ". . . tremendous talent, tireless energy, and buoyant spirit," while Paris Move magazine described her as “one of the most beautiful voices in the United States.”
