Harford Community College Holds CNA, Dental Assistant Program Completion Ceremony

A combined Completion Ceremony for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Dental Assistant Program completers was held on August 14 in Darlington Hall on the Harford Community College campus.

The event was hosted by the College’s Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions with Renee Michalkiewicz, Director, Allied Health Professions; and Dr. Ashley Meisel, Dean, Nursing and Allied Health Professions.

The ceremony opened with welcome and congratulatory remarks from Mrs. Michalkiewicz; Dr. Meisel; and CNA Instructor Dr. Amy Ertwine. The student speaker for the CNA ceremony was Haily Gelston. Kamber Rehm and Kendell Snead were the Dental Assistant student speakers.

Mrs. Michalkiewicz stated, "Tonight, we are here to celebrate our students who are completing the Certified Nursing Assistant and Dental Assistant Programs. They have worked so very hard to complete their training over the past several months. A few of our students had the opportunity to attend these programs while also completing their senior year at a Harford County Public School."

Dr. Ertwine pinned the Nursing Assistant graduates. Michalkiewicz presented certificates to the Dental Assistant Program completers.

The CNA students who were pinned during the ceremony included Christian Allmond, Vivian Cremeans, Hailey Gelston, Annette Grden, Ny’asia Hale, Haley Lake, Patrycja Panczyk, and Isaac Phillips.

Dental Assistant completers included Kiarra Fayer, Valeria Gutierrez, Mariah Messick, Jamaal Pearl, Kamber Rehm, Kendell Snead.
