Harford Sports Complex on the College campus, in partnership with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Fighting Owls will kick off their inaugural season in spring 2026.
Tom Laneve, Lead Clinic Instructor, will direct the clinic portion of the day. Laneve has organized and led youth clinics for decades. He has been employed with the Ravens in multiple capacities since 1998. The clinic is open to girls as young as 12 and current high school and college students. No experience is required. Following the clinic, Fighting Owls head women’s flag football coach Andre Smalls will hold an open tryout for Harford’s team for those who are eligible. A limited number of scholarships are still available. Smalls brings more than 25 years of football playing, coaching, and player development experience to the Fighting Owls. Known for his dedication to mentoring student-athletes and fostering a culture of success, Smalls has consistently demonstrated a commitment to both athletic excellence and personal growth. “Accepting this position [is] an exciting opportunity to teach the great sport of flag football at the collegiate level,” Smalls said.
Flag football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, offering student-athletes an opportunity to compete at a high level while learning valuable life skills. Under Smalls’ leadership, Harford Community College looks forward to establishing a competitive and dynamic program that reflects the College’s commitment to excellence in athletics.
