A Ceremony of Completion for 42 Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation Scholarship recipients was held on August 13 at the Chesapeake Conference Center on the Harford Community College campus. The ceremony recognized the achievement of students completing Philip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation Scholarship programs.
As a part of the $5 million awarded through the Maryland Department of Labor’s Industry Apprenticeship Accelerator, Harford Community College has been awarded a $872,469 grant to scale up the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship into a comprehensive, statewide workforce solution. The goal of the program is to address Maryland’s critical shortage of qualified early childhood educators while increasing access to high-quality, earn-and-learn career pathways.
Harford Community College is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two Nurse Support Program II (NSP II) grants from the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). The grants will be used to fund additional professional education opportunities ($46,294) and to update simulation manikins ($150,000). Each grant is for a one-year period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
