Phoenix Festival Theater to Hold Auditions for The SpongeBob Musical

Phoenix Festival Theater is holding auditions for The SpongeBob Musical on November 29 and 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Susquehanna Center, Room 216 (Auxiliary Gym) at Harford Community College. Performance dates are March 8-10. The director/choreographer is Bambi Johnson.

On audition day, arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled audition time and you will be directed to the audition space. Please prepare 16-32 bars of any upbeat contemporary musical theatre song. There are many genres of songs represented in the show. Sing something that showcases you and your talent. You may sing a song from the show. If you will only accept a specific role, it is recommended you choose a relevant song from the show. Bring a track on your phone to connect to our Bluetooth speaker (no a cappella auditions, please).

If auditioning for a lead or supporting character, please audition using the character’s voice from the hit television show. Actors may be asked to read a portion of the script.

Please consider wearing/bringing appropriate attire and shoes. You may be asked to dance.

If you do not receive a callback within 48 hours, it does not necessarily mean you haven’t been cast. You will receive an email sometime during the week of December 4 letting you know whether you have been cast.
