Harford Community College’s Library will be celebrating National Library Week from April 20 to 24. To mark the occasion, the Library will be hosting three events that are free and open to the public.
Harford Community College will hold an Open House for prospective students of all ages and interests on Saturday, May 2, from 10 AM to 12 PM in the Student Center/Quad area on campus. Use Entrance 3 off Thomas Run Road or Entrance 6 off Rt. 22 and park in Lot A or B.
Owl Media, the student multimedia publication of Harford Community College, brought back five national Apple Awards from the Spring College Media Association Convention. Owl Media earned second place in three categories, third in one category, and one honorable mention for 2025-26.
Registration for summer credit classes beginning June 1 opens April 15 at midnight. Registration for fall classes starting August 24 opens on April 15, 16, or 17, depending on number of credits earned. Register as soon as possible for the best course selection and your preferred schedule!
The Actors Guild of Harford Community College will present William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet April 24-26 and May 1-3 in the Blackbox Theater in Joppa Hall.
Harford Community College’s Professional Dog Grooming class is offering grooming appointments for dogs that fit a certain profile. Appointments are being scheduled on Monday mornings and evenings, Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday evenings.

Andie Craley, Technical Services & Government Information Librarian and Federal Depository Library Program Coordinator for the Harford Community College Library, was appointed as one of six new members to the Depository Library Council (DLC) by U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Director Hugh Halpern on March 4.
Harford alumnus Darvin Figueroa Cortes ’25 was recognized by the Achieving the Dream Network and received a 2026 Harvey Lincoln Student Scholarship in acknowledgement of his collegiate achievements. Darvin plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and work in critical care.
Harford student Mooswaan Shrestha is one of 485 national semifinalists for the highly competitive Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, recognizing her exceptional academic ability, leadership, and service. Mooswaan is a biology major and member of the Honors Program.
