Harford Community College to Hold Third Annual Maryland Scholars Summit

19 April 2023

Harford Community College, in partnership with Cecil College, will hold the Third Annual Maryland Scholars Summit on Saturday, April 29, from 9 AM to 3 PM in Darlington Hall on Harford’s campus at 401 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air. The conference is designed to acquaint undergraduate students with the process and academic rigors of presenting projects in a professional setting and is free and open to the public.

Students from eight Maryland community colleges in a variety of academic fields will highlight their poster board displays, PowerPoint presentations, research papers, and creative scholarly works. They will present the research and projects they conducted under the supervision of a faculty member or professional in the field in such areas as education, conservation, history, science, psychology, biology, chemistry, engineering, literature, writing, criminal justice, and more.

Prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories: Best Scientific Work, Best Creative Work, and Best Poster Presentation. Faculty, community members, families, friends and students are all invited to attend the free event. Register here to attend the conference. Registration will close at the end of the day on April 24.
