A delegation of eight Estonian vocational education professionals visited Harford Community College on April 23. They were welcomed by Dr. Theresa B. Felder, Harford’s President, and the leadership team from the College. The delegation was given a tour of the College campus and had the opportunity to explore the College's IT, STEM, Workforce, and Nursing & Allied Health programs to learn more about how Harford partners with industry to support student success and meet workforce needs. The visit was coordinated by the World Trade Center Institute, located in Baltimore, MD.
The 2026 Annual Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition will take place May 6-29 in the Dr. James & Lynne LaCalle Chesapeake Gallery located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center. All are invited to the Opening Reception in the Chesapeake Gallery on Thursday, May 7 from 5 to 6:30 PM. A juror’s talk and the award announcements begin at 5:30 PM. The Salon de Refuses, featuring work not accepted into the juried exhibition, will immediately follow in Joppa Hall from 6:45 to 8:45 PM.
Harford String Orchestra and Harford Youth Orchestra will present a concert on Saturday, April 25 at 1 PM at Edgewood High School, 2415 Willoughby Beach Road. Hosted by Harford Community College, the annual spring concert is free and open to the public.
Harford Community College will present the musical group “Girl Named Tom” on Friday, May 1 at 7:30 PM in the Chesapeake Theater located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center on campus.
Harford joined colleges nationwide in April in celebrating Community College Month. The campaign, led by the Association of Community College Trustees, highlights the essential role community and technical colleges play in powering America’s workforce and expanding economic opportunity.
Harford’s Library is celebrating National Library Week April 20-24 this year by hosting three events that are free and open to the public. National Library Week 2026 features the theme "Find Your Library Joy!" to highlight how libraries strengthen communities and support lifelong learning.
Come see “Sweet Dreams . . . Mandy Barnett Sings Patsy Cline” on Sunday, April 26 at 3 PM in the Chesapeake Theater located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center on Harford’s campus. An official Grand Ole Opry member, she has performed alongside such legends as Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.

Owl Media, Harford’s student multimedia publication, had a great showing at the Apple Awards this year, winning awards in five categories. Student media publications from across the country entered the competition. Winners were announced at the National College Media Convention in NYC.
