Military and Veteran Support

Serving those who serve our country is a mission that Harford Community College takes seriously.

We understand that military-connected students—whether veteran, active, or spouses and children of those serving—often have situations that differ from our traditional students and we pride ourselves in offering you the support, flexibility, and aid that you both need and deserve. Whether you are upgrading work skills, seeking a transfer program, plan to earn an associate degree or occupational certificate, Harford's faculty and staff are here to assist you.

Thank you for your service and we are proud you have chosen Harford for your academic advancement.

Military Support Services

The Military & Veterans Resource Center helps veteran and military students ensure a smooth transition from boots to books. Located in the lower level of the Student Center, the Resource Center is a dedicated space where military-connected students have access to academic, family, and financial support services as well as have a place to study and connect with other military-connected students. Only those with appropriate swipe card permissions may access the Center.

This Registered Student Organization serves veterans, active military, and military spouses and children enrolled at Harford and promotes the needs and interests of veterans and their families. Meetings, guest speakers, trips and other activities provide a place to meet both formally and socially in an environment of mutual. Members share information and resources regarding medical, financial, and academic benefits, advocate for military issues, participate in on campus military events, and share concerns and achievements in their academic and career paths. Job placement opportunities for veterans is also available.

The Club's mission is to:

  • To inform and help members access the academic and financial benefits available to them.
  • Provide a forum for students to discuss their foremost concerns regarding academic growth.
  • To ensure members are receiving their medical benefits
  • To help members in job placement when they are ready to join the workforce
