Student Services Offices

Registration and Records

The Registration and Records Office coordinates registration for all Harford students, maintains student records, and handles transcripts. Any changes or updates to a student record, transcript requests, or registration need can be completed in person a the Registration and Records Office or processed online through a student's OwlNet account.

OwlNet is the student on-line access to resources. Students use this portal for the following:

  • Register for classes
  • Drop/add classes
  • Change major
  • Online chat with Advising
  • Email and file storage
  • View grades and financial aid information
  • Request transcripts
  • View student activities and college event information

Advising, Career, and Transfer Services (ACTS)

Students will meet with their assigned advisor in the ACTS Office for assistance with registering for their second semester and beyond. Other services include:

  • Academic advisement/Online chat (after the first semester)
  • Transfer advising/ARTSYS
  • Career advising
  • Computerized career interest assessments
  • Career and life planning courses
  • Student success courses
  • HCC Career Connect for job postings
  • Internships and Cooperative Education
  • Job search assistance (resume, interview prep, on-campus recruiting)

Disability Support Services (DSS)

Harford's DSS Office is available to assist students with academic advisement, career, and transfer advisement, establishing accommodations, and assistive technology. All services are provided at no expense to the student. It is the responsibility of the student to self identify, provide documentation, and request accommodations.


Tutoring Services

Tutoring is available to all students in the Learning Center. Services include:

  • Free tutoring up to 12 hours
  • Scheduled and walk-in tutoring
  • Supplemental instruction/group study
  • Study skills assistance
