Arts and Humanities

The Arts and Humanities division offers programs of study in Art + Design, Arts Management, Communication Studies, English, History, Mass Communications, Music, Philosophy, Theatre, and course work infused into other college programs. Our AA and AFA programs focus on transfer to 4-year colleges and universities while our AAS and certificate programs develop skills for growing career fields. Our faculty are experienced professionals with the knowledge to help students prepare for their future. Students will develop critical thinking and communication skills and have hands-on access to studio spaces and equipment designed to meet professional standards in digital art, electronic music, fine art, graphic design, photography, television, and audio and video editing. Our regionally award-winning radio station WHFC 91.1 and our nationally award-winning Owl Magazine are just two examples of our dedication and commitment to excellence.
