Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL)

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) serves as a center for collaboration, communication and coordination of teaching and learning activities and innovative instruction to promote lifelong learning and student success.

eLearning

HCC eLearning courses give students the opportunity to take classes from anywhere at any time. We support several online models for credit course delivery.

Online Degrees

The following HCC degrees can be completed entirely online:

  • Business Administration, A.S.
  • Computer Information Systems, A.A.S.
  • General Studies, A.A.
  • Psychology (concentration), A.A.

Global Education and Engagement

An integral part of the mission of Harford Community College is to foster "lifelong learning, global awareness, and social and cultural enrichment." The College supports that mission through the Office of Global Education and Engagement.

Honors Programs and Societies

Courses include greater intellectual and experiential opportunities and challenges, providing enriched learning and greater depth of analysis, synthesis and evaluation of material.

Learning Assessment Committee

A faculty-led, inclusive body that provides guidance, assistance, and resources for all learning outcomes assessment activities at HCC. The LAC also serves in an advisory role to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and makes recommendations to Faculty Council.

Library

The Library contributes to excellence in teaching and learning by supporting and expanding classroom instruction by providing easy and comprehensive access to information and instruction in various formats.

Library Hours

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 10 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday: 10 AM - 5 PM
Sunday:12 PM - 4 PM
