Gamma Upsilon

The Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society was established by the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) to promote nursing scholarship and academic excellence. Gamma Upsilon is Harford Community College's chapter of Alpha Delta Nu.

To be eligible for an invitation, third semester students must have achieved at least a B in all nursing courses to date and must demonstrate conduct that reflects integrity and professionalism on campus and in the clinical setting. Eligible students desiring to join must complete a project that relates to the goals of Alpha Delta Nu.

Once all requirements have been met, students will be inducted at a formal ceremony where friends and family can celebrate with the students as they receive pins and cords that designate them as members of the honor society. There is also an opportunity for attendees to view the completed projects. The students may display their success by wearing their pins and cords at the nursing pinning ceremony as well as at college commencement.
