  • Morning Classics, M-F, 9AM - Noon, Saturdays, 12Noon - 3PM. A different host each day features the greatest composers and conductors in recorded history, from traditional masters like Beethoven, Bach, Roselli and Handel, to today’s classical composers and artists, like Van Cliburn, John Williams, the Gershwins and Leonard Bernstein.

       

  • Crossroads, M-F, 1-4PM.  Various hosts present today's adult acoustic alternative (AAA) sounds.

 

  • The Pub, Mondays, 6-9PM.  Belfast native Tim O'Neill presents three hours of Celtic music from the likes of The Chieftains, Loreena McKennitt, Great Big Sea, and more.

 

  •   The Perimeter, Mondays, 9-11PM.  Surf rock never sounded better.


 

  • Desert Island Jazz, Tuesdays 6-9PM, and Saturday, 5-7PM.  Classic, straight-ahead jazz spanning 1950 to present. Featuring jazz giants such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans and Chico Hamilton plus up-and-coming talent deserving wider recognition, hosted by "Professor" Dave May.

 

  • Blues & More In The Basement, Tuesdays, 9-11PM.  Skip's got the blues, and he wants to give them to you.

 

  • Sky High 70s Show, Wednesdays, 4-6PM.  Songs from the polyester era hosted by Mick Loving.
 
  • Many Roads, Fridays, 6-9PM. It’s new age, contemporary instrumental and light jazz presented by Irene Stoss.

 

  • The Gen-X 80s Show, Wednesdays, 9PM - Midnight.  Chris Ferris spins the tunes that "Gen-Xers grew up with.

 

  • WHFC's Golden Age of Radio, Tuesdays, 10PM - Midnight, and Saturdays, 9AM - Noon.  Climb aboard Skip's "time machine" for a trip back to radio's golden past, with the likes of Jack Benny, Red Skelton, The Lone Ranger, Dragnet, and many more.

 

  • The Block Party, Saturdays, 9PM - Midnight.  Joyce Conroy spins "the platters that matter" from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

 

  • Coffeehouse Radio, Fridays, 4-5PM.  The talents of singer/songwriters come into focus each week, w/host Tom Wilson. 

 

  • Our Public Schools, Wednesdays, 12 noon.  The individual and collective efforts of the county school system's administrators, teachers and students are presented every week, along with the challenges each group faces, and the unique perspectives they offer.  On Summer Hiatus. 

 

  • The Great Adventure, Sundays, 8-10PM.  Tim Morgan and Dave Mason alternate as hosts of the only local radio program featuring Contemporary Christian music.

 

  • The Night Shift, Nightly,  12M-7AM.  New age and lite jazz are featured throughout the night.

 

  • Ed McBride's Reflections of Ireland, Sundays, 5-7PM.  Maryland's longest-running radio program of traditional Irish music, news and sports has a new home, on 91.1 WHFC!

  • Acoustic Café, Thursdays, 4-6PM.  Acoustic/alternative music at its best, complete with special in-studio performances and interviews.  Hosted by Rob Reinhart.
  • WoodSongs, Fridays, 9PM, and Sundays, 1PM.  Acoustic, singer/songwriter, folk, bluegrass, and more are featured before a live studio audience in Lexington, KY.  Michael Jonathan hosts.
  • StarDate, Weekdays, 5:58PM. It’s the ultimate daily guide for astronomers, produced by the University of Texas at Austin. Before you look up into the night sky, listen to StarDate.
  • Jazz @ Lincoln Center, Tuesdays 5PM.  Jazz legend Wynton Marsailis presents jazz performances recorded at New York City's Lincoln Center.  From NPR and WFMT-FM, Chicago.
  • Parent's Journal, Mondays @ noon.  Challenges and tips for parents and grandparents are presented each week by host Bobbi Connor.
  • In Black America, Wednesdays, 12:30PM.  John L. Hansen, Jr. hosts this long-running public affairs program on the African-American perspective, produced by KUT-FM, Austin, TX.
  • Putumayo World Music Hour,  Fridays @ 5pm.  It's world music with a beat guaranteed to make you feel good!
  • Celtic Connections, Sundays @ 4PM.  Brian Kelso Crow hosts an eclectic hour of music from Ireland, Scotland, and the Canadian Maritimes, produced by WSIU-FM, Carbondale, IL.
  • Provoke, Sundays @ 9:30AM. Contemporary issues from the perspective of faith.  Unbiased, unorthodox, unexpected.  
  • Music & The Spoken Word, Sundays, 9AM.  Inspirational music and talk from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. 
  • Latino USA, Tuesdays, 12:30PM.  News and issues from a Latino perspective.  From NPR.
  • River City Folk,  Mondays @ 11PM, & Tuesday @ 4.  Folk and American music from Studio B in Omaha.
  • The Midnight Special, Wednesdays @ 7PM, & Sundays @ 10PM.  Folk music with a sense of humor.
  • Prime Time Radio, Sundays, 7AM.  Issues relating to the 50+ listener are discussed by host Mike Cuthbert and guests.
  • In The Studio, with Michael Card, Sundays, 8AM, encored @ 7pm.  Music and talk hosted by Contemporary Christian artist Michael Card.
  • Sunday Baroque, Sundays, 10AM.  Two hours of baroque and pre-1`750 music, hosted by Suzanne Bona.
  • Art of the Song, Thursdays @ Noon, encored Sundays @ Noon.  Explores inspiration and creativity through songwriting and other forms.
  • Travel with Rick Steves, Fridays @ noon, encored Saturdays @ 3PM.  Author and travel expert Rick Steves brings to WHFC a radio version of his successful PBS television show.
  • Bluegrass Breakdown, Fridays @ 10PM, and Sundays @ 2PM.  Dave Higgs hosts an hour of real American music, from Nashville Public Radio.
  • The Tall Pines Radio Show, Fridays @ 11PM, and Sundays @ 3pm.  Bluegrass Billy McKay picks up where Dave Higgs leaves off, with great new bluegrass from the "tall pines" of Virginia.
