Dear Students, Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to page of Computing & Technology Services at Harford Community College.

Harford Community College proudly offers a state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and services including data, instructional, video, and voice infrastructure. All of our buildings have access to high speed internet through wired and wireless technology. Our classrooms have 21st century instructional technology to facilitate a learning environment required of modern education. Over 90% of our classrooms are “Smart Classrooms” that include Smart boards, white boards, video projection units, and instructor PCs.

We have a centralized infrastructure attuned toward one of the core values of the College - sustainability. About 60% of our servers are now virtualized. Our data center houses all our servers, storage devices, and other technology infrastructure aimed at providing the College the right tools to empower the students, faculty, and staff.  We have modern computing laboratories - both PCs and Macs - for the use of our students. HCC has more than 1,200 computers, laptops, and Macs available for students and employees.

The College is also responsible for the systems and technology at the University Center at the Northeastern MD Higher Education and Conference Center @ HEAT located in Aberdeen. CTS also supports the offsite offices of the College and ensures that technology addresses the operational, instructional, and strategic needs of the College.

In the 2008 Digital Community Colleges Survey, HCC was recognized for its technology and service excellence with a 4th place ranking among mid-size community colleges. The College community embraces technology and the opportunities it offers.
