Soar2Success Program

Soar2Success offers resources to the campus community on topics of diversity and multiculturalism. 

Social and cultural activities highlight the African American experience. Travel to conferences, area colleges, museums, and other points of interest are offered for ‘Road Scholars’. Regional and national guest speakers present topics ranging from popular culture to social justice. Events, activities and resources are open to all members of the campus community. Video and library resources are available.



A one-day empowerment program. Participants will hear from graduate and returning students about how to navigate the academic and social demands of college. Our next session will take place in September 8, 2017 in Darlington Hall, Room 202. The program is from 12:30-4:30 PM.  Returning students must register by September 1st - CRN #41381.  KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. LaMarr Darnell Shields.  Lunch will be served.

Time Management Workshop:
Start your semester by getting organized and creating a schedule that allows you to get it all done!  At these session, you'll learn key time management skills to help you start your college career on the right foot. 
Choose one of the following sessions:

  • Wednesday, September 13th
  • Thursday, September 14th
  • Tuesday, October 10th
  • Wednesday, October 11th

 All Sessions @ 1PM or 5PM in the Student Center, Room 113.  Lunch/Dinner will be served. 

Road Scholar

Travel to conferences and colleges and present at community organizations and earn extra credit. Become engaged in learning and networking.
