Soar2Success Program

Soar2Success, formerly known as Rites of Passage, offers resources to the campus community on topics of diversity and multiculturalism. 

Social and cultural activities highlight the African American experience. Travel to conferences, area colleges, museums, and other points of interest are offered for ‘Road Scholars’. Regional and national guest speakers present topics ranging from popular culture to social justice. Events, activities and resources are open to all members of the campus community. Video and library resources are available.

Programs

iCanSucceed

iCanSucceed is a one-day empowerment program. Participants will hear from graduate and returning students about how to navigate the academic and social demands of college. Come and be “edutained” by the wisdom and comedy of Meshelle. Meshelle is the founder of Goaldiggers: The Sankofa Project and has appeared on numerous shows including BET, Nickelodeon and TEDX. Students can choose to attend on Friday, September 11, 2015. Participants will be eligible to win a “Surface Pro” tablet.

Time Management Seminar

Participants will recognize time wasters, gain management skills and create a schedule for success. Students can attend one of six sessions offered on Monday, September 8 or Thursday, September 18. Participants will be eligible to win a “Surface Pro” tablet. 

Road Scholar

Travel to conferences and colleges and present at community organizations and earn extra credit. Become engaged in learning and networking.
