Academic Success Coaching

Academic Success Coaching is designed to support success, retention, and degree completion of African American students. Two full-time Academic Success coaches provide biweekly, individual academic coaching sessions.

Coaches use non-cognitive assessments to determine appropriate student support resources; assist students with establishing student success plans, and help students monitor their academic progress. Students who actively participate in coaching will earn credit for SDEV 110: Success in College and Beyond and SDEV 111: Personalized Career Exploration.

While coaches work primarily with African American students all students are welcome to use this service.
