Transfer Partnerships
This collaborative partnership between Harford Community College and Drexel University Online, allows eligible HCC graduates, as well as HCC employees and immediate family, to earn a top-ranked degree or certificate and receive special tuition rates when enrolled in one of Drexel's distinguished online programs. Guaranteed admission to Elizabethtown College for students who earn an Associate degree from HCC with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Fulltime/traditional students will be considered for merit scholarship funding. Access to transfer counselor will also be provided. Special Admission requirements apply for certain programs. As of July, 2020, Goucher College's Welch Center for Graduate & Professional Studies will no longer be enrolling new students into the Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) degree programs. Students enrolled in the one of the BPS programs prior to this will be able to complete their coursework. Please see the original articulation for reference.
The Honors Programs of Harford Community College and Goucher College have partnered to offer HCC's eligible honors students academic opportunities at Goucher College. Students who meet Goucher College's criteria are eligible for guaranteed admission and scholarship offerings.
The transfer agreement between Harford Community College and Hood College is allows HCC degree completers to transfer into parallel programs at Hood College. This agreement allows students to transfer in up to 62 credits and offers students who enroll full-time the opportunity for merit based scholarships ranging from a 25%-40% tuition reduction. Students who are interested in transferring to Hood College should talk to an advisor.
Graduates from one of HCC's associate degree programs will benefit from a wide variety of educational opportunities that are available through Neumann University's traditional baccalaureate degree programs. Qualified students who have been admitted to Neumann University as traditional, full-time students are eligible for traditional transfer scholarships based on GPA. Harford Community College is pleased to partner with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) to ease the transition of fine arts transfer students seeking to continue on to a BFA degree. This partnership is for graduates of the HCC AFA degree programs, will transfer in up to 63 transfer credits, offers a Community Connection scholarship and opportunities for other merit based aid. Shepherd University, located in Shepherdstown, WV, offers a wide variety of degree programs. Under this transfer agreement, students who have earned an associate degree from HCC with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 are guaranteed admission to the University and on-campus housing. Application fees are waived for those who apply and students who transfer under this agreement are eligible for a 25% tuition waiver for each semester of full-time enrollment (for up to six semesters).
HCC's partnership with Stevenson University Online (SUO) provides opportunities for graduates of HCC the ability maintain a positive school/life balance while earning a degree in one of the nine undergraduate degree programs offered by SUO. These programs are career-focused and designed to meet the needs of adult learners. Eligible students can receive a 20% tuition discount.

Harford Community College is pleased to participate in University of Baltimore's BeeLine Dual-Admission Program, which provides early access to information and transfer support to current and future students. The BeeLine includes unique transfer services, such as pre-transfer advising, ongoing pre-admission transfer credit evaluations, invitations to UB events, guaranteed admission, access to the UB library and facilities, and much more. University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC)
The Transfer Student Alliance (TSA) offers eligible students who intend to earn their bachelor's degree at UMBC upon completion of their associate degree at Harford Community College the opportunity to benefit from joint programmatic efforts, shared resources, and other privileges while still enrolled at HCC. Upon transfer to UMBC, eligible students may be guaranteed admission, scholarship, and housing.
HCC and UMBC have also established a guaranteed admissions agreement for students of the Honors Program. Contact HCC's Honors Program Coordinator and see the agreement for more information.
Since 2004, HCC has teamed up with UMUC to help create a seamless path for students to move from their associate degree to bachelor's degree. UMUC accepts up to 70 credits toward a bachelor's degree. Alliance students are able to take advantage of benefits, including dual enrollment opportunities, guaranteed admission, completion scholarships, and more. The Direct Transfer Agreement between HCC and Wilmington University in Delaware allows HCC graduates to be conditionally admitted with junior status into related bachelor's degrees at Wilmington University. Eligible students have earned an associate degree from HCC with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. See the Parallel Programs listing for information on related HCC and Wilmington University programs.
