iPlan to Explore My Options

At times, students may be uncertain of which degree program to be declared in, and that is OK. The Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies, will allow students to explore a breadth of knowledge across different disciplines, meet general education requirements, and help clarify which academic areas they have a real interest in pursuing.

Students who begin their educational plan declared in General Studies may continue to follow the plan, creating a 12-credit discipline concentration and graduating with the associates degree - or they may discover a new academic/career area to pursue and with the assistance of an academic advisor change their major when appropriate.

If you are unsure of your academic and career goals, review the General Studies Degree Plan and meet with an academic advisor to discuss other options that may assist you in feeling more confident about your educational plans.
