Nursing Applications

REGULAR ADMISSIONS

Nursing course progression for regular admissions includes four consecutive semesters in fall and spring semesters only.  Summer attendance is not required.  Classes are weekdays and clinicals are typically weekday days or evenings.

The application for Spring 2014 will be available on July 1, 2013.  Deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

NOTE FOR ALL APPLICANTS:  All applicants must submit TEAS V scores.  For more information visit the Test Center's TEAS Test Information Page.

ACCELERATED AND WEEKEND/EVENING ACCELERATED ADMISSIONS

You may consider applying for these accelerated programs if you have already completed a majority of pre-nursing courses and are able to be a full-time summer student. Nursing course progression for the accelerated program begins in May of one year and concludes in August of the following year. Summer attendance is required.

The application for Summer 2014 will be available on November 15, 2013.

LPN TO RN ADMISSIONS

Licensed practical nurses (LPN) seeking to complete an associate’s degree and attain RN licensure must apply for the LPN to RN transition program.

The application for Spring 2014 will be available July 1, 2013.  Deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 1, 2013.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR F-1 (International) STUDENTS APPLYING TO THE NURSING PROGRAM:

F-1 students who are not current HCC students and applying to the Nursing Program must first contact Jenny Lares (DSO) at the Admissions Office at 443-412-2423 or jlares@harford.edu.

Please note that international students cannot apply online. You will need to submit a paper Application for Enrollment and a paper International Student Application, which can be located on the Admissions webpage: http://www.harford.edu/admissions/intlstudents.asp. Valid I-20 and visa identification verifying your current immigration status are required. Current international students at HCC should follow general application procedures when applying to the Nursing Program.

If you plan to transfer credit from a college or university outside of the United States, you must have your official, translated transcript evaluated by an accredited evaluation service. HCC does not evaluate foreign transcripts. Please allow adequate time for the requesting, translation and evaluation of academic credentials. All transcripts and evaluations must be received by the nursing application deadline.
