Graduation Requirements
August 2007 and December 2007 graduates received prior notification regarding
the status of their degree or certificate and have met all graduation requirements.
May 2008 candidates must have applied for graduation by the December 1, 2007
application deadline and received confirmation of their intent to graduate.
Academic Regalia
Your academic regalia has been ordered for you through the College
Store. There is no charge for the regalia, and you are permitted to
keep it after Commencement. You may pick up your cap, gown and tassel
from the College Store on the lower level of the Student Center
beginning Tuesday, April 28, through Thursday, May 15. Regalia will not
be available after May 15.

Commencement Guide
A Commencement Guide containing additional information
will be available to you at the time you pick up your academic regalia
from the College Store.
Formal Graduation Announcements
Formal graduation announcements will be available in mid-April at the
College Store. Personalized graduation announcements and other
graduation stationery items will be available through the College
Stores website at http://bookstore.harford.edu. A representative from
the College Store will be available to help you select your college ring
and answer your questions regarding the available graduation stationery
at the following times:

RSVP
It is important that we know whether you are planning to attend the
Commencement ceremony. Return your postage-paid post card no later than May 2, 2008. NOTE:
Graduates do not need tickets to participate in the event, but they must
RSVP. Guests do not need tickets and seating will be available on a
first-come, first-served basis. Guests must arrive by 10:45 a.m. All
seating and handicapped parking is available on a first-come,
first-served basis. Interpreters for the hearing impaired will be
provided. For disability related issues, contact 410-836-4402 or TTY
410-836-4199, at least two weeks prior to the ceremony.
Location
of Assembly Report to the second floor of the Library by
the Circulation Desk, no later than 10:15 a.m. Important Note:
The College assumes no liability for lost or stolen personal items.
Personal items cannot be stored during the ceremony.
Children
Child-care
services are not available for this event. Children are not permitted
to accompany you during the ceremony. However, they are welcome to
attend the ceremony as guests if properly supervised by someone other
than you.
Parking
Plan to arrive early to
allow ample time for parking. If you plan to park in the B Lot, you
must enter campus through Entrance 6. To access all other parking,
please enter through Entrance 3.
Photography
A
professional photographer will be on hand to capture the event for
graduates and their families. Information regarding these offerings
will be included in the Commencement Guide you will receive when picking
up your academic regalia. We ask that any photography and videography
you plan to take be limited to what can be done from your seat, to
minimize any inconvenience to all of our guests for the event.
DVD Available
A professional
videographer will be on hand to capture the event for graduates and
their families. All graduates who attend Commencement will
receive a free DVD copy,
which will be available for pickup or mailing in early June. Also, the
ceremony will be broadcast throughout the month of June on Harford Cable
Network.
Mobile Phones Must be turned off upon your arrival at the Library, and may not be
utilized until all graduates have recessed from the tent at the end of
the ceremony.
