Financial Aid

There are different sources of aid that may be available to your student. They include federal grants, loans, and work study, state grants and scholarships and Harford Community College grants and scholarships. To be eligible for federal and state aid, students must complete the FAFSA every year. Students can find the application for Harford Communtiy College scholarships in their OwlNet account.

The Financial Aid office offers various opportunities for assistance. Financial aid workshops are held throughout the county in the Fall. The You Can Afford College event is held annually on campus in February to assist with completing the FAFSA. Financial Aid TV provides helpful videos to assist with the Financial Aid process.

Paying for College

Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted by Harford Community College. The following are ways to pay:

  • In person at the Cashier's Office
  • Mail-in check payment (be sure to include your student's name and HID number)
  • Owlnet - Credit card and Echeck payments accepted
  • Telephone - credit card by calling the Cashier's Office at 443-412-2208

Nelnet Tuition Plan

  • Tuition payment plan allows students to make multiple payments each semester. Application must be completed each semester and a $35 fee applies.
  • 1/3 of the total tuition and fees is payable to the college by the payment due date for that semester.

BankMobile Disbursements

Harford offers students a convenient way to get their refunds (due to financial aid, schedule changes, or overpayment) through BankMobile. Students must select one of the following refund options:

  1. Direct deposit into another bank account (ACH transfer)
  2. BankMobile Vibe checking account
  3. Paper check
