Troubleshooting If you are having technical
problems with Blackboard or your eLearning course content, please review
the information below. If you still have technical issues, contact the
eLearning Help Desk at 443-412-2256.
Pop-up BlockersBlackboard uses pop-up windows to
deliver certain course material such as quizzes, surveys, email and
chat. Pop-up blockers have gained popularity in the last year, with many
current versions of web browsers blocking pop-up windows by default,
some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) providing blockers, and toolbars
that block pop-ups.
While you are in Blackboard, you will need to disable any pop-up
blocking software you may have installed. Most blockers have a disable
feature, so you do not necessarily need to uninstall any software you
wish to use while visiting other internet sites.
Plugins
Some Blackboard courses use browser plug-ins.
To view portions of these sites, you may need one or more of the
plug-ins below. Browsers will generally automatically download any
plug-in required by a particular page.
For the latest plug-in information from Blackboard visit their site.
