Library Assistant
(Part-time)

Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $9.63 - $11.07 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HCC's library is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented individual to serve at the circulation desk; perform clerical duties; process and maintain the print serials and legal collections; process books and other materials for addition to the collection; and carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours, with 10 or more hours assigned to the circulation desk. 

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree is preferred.  One or more years of experience in a library or related setting is preferred.  Computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment and basic Internet skills required; knowledge of Office 2010 preferred. 

Any offer of employment at Harford Community College is contingent upon the results of a mandatory background screening.  Employees must submit within 30 days of hire official transcripts of all degrees earned.
