RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Office Assistant provides clerical support to the College's Humanities Division.  Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office 2010 applications; assisting faculty and students; receiving visitors and responding to phone inquiries; providing assistance with general information; establishing and maintaining files; offering technical assistance to faculty; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is a ten-month work schedule from August 15 to June 15, with approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED and one year of related clerical experience required.  Applicants must possess good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and knowledge of general office practices.  Computer proficiency in a  Windows-based computer environment, including MS Word and Excel, is required.
