Hourly Rate Range:  $9.63 - $11.08

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Office Assistant provides clerical support tot he College's Humanities Division.  Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office 2010 applications; assisting faculty and students; receiving visitors and responding to phone inquiries; providing assistance with general information; establishing and maintaining files; offering technical assistance to faculty; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is a ten-month work schedule from August 15 to June 15, with approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED and one year of related clerical experience required.  Applicants must possess good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and knowledge of general general office practices.  Computer proficiency in a  Windows-based computer environment, including MS Word and Excel, is required.

Any offer of employment at Harford Community College is contingent upon the results of a mandatory background screening.  Employees must submit within 30 days of hire official transcripts of all degrees earned.
