Events Management Specialist

Starting Salary Range:  $31,808 - $36,579

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specialist provides support to the College's Events Management department to assure the successful operation of events held at HCC and satellite locations through planning, preparation, execution, and follow-up.  Duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling and tracking events and processing event-related work requests using the College's automated systems; maintaining current and accurate files, both electronic and hard copy; providing outstanding customer service to on-campus and outside event planners and customers; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is a non-exempt, classified staff position. 
 

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or GED and four or more years of events management or related administrative experience required.  Applicants must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment, including MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Banner and Visio preferred.  A thorough knowledge of general administrative and office practices and procedures and the ability to maintain files and track multiple events simultaneously also required.
