Duties include:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee the HCC Library's Information Literacy Program.
  • Design, teach, and assess Library instruction, including the required information literacy sessions for English 101 and English 012 classes, to teach students how to identify, find, critically evaluate, and use ethically the information they encounter.
  • Create online tutorials, course guides, and other instructional materials/objects that teach library research and information literacy skills, for use in both online and face-to-face courses at HCC.

  • Conduct professional development sessions on using library resources and information literacy-related topics for HCC faculty and staff.
  • Conduct outreach activities with area schools and community groups.
